The Guinea Grill and Pub

Two doors down from the Leica Store Mayfair, The Guinea is a Mayfair institution; there’s been an Inn on this site since 1423 and its award winning restaurant - the Guinea Grill opened in 1952. As a founder member of the Scotch Beef Club they specialise in serving dry aged, grass fed Scotch beef from an open grill and here you'll find some of the best steak in London. Their menu also serves traditional, seasonal British classics such as London cure Scottish Smoked Salmon along with a choice of hand-picked Scotch Premier sirloins, ribs, rumps and T bones. In addition you will find a selection of Young’s Ales at the bar and the atmospheric private dining room is perfect for up to 28 people.

Berkeley Square – see if you can hear a nightingale

This more tranquil ‘green’ haven in the midst of the hurly burly of Mayfair is only 100 yards from the store. Berkeley Square is perfect for a stroll or picnic or just to watch the world go by. At its centre, it features a sculptural fountain by Alexander Munro, a Pre-Raphaelite sculptor, made in 1865. The surrounding London Plane trees are among the oldest in central London and were planted in 1789. The buildings around the square include several by notable architects including Robert Adam, who designed Lansdowne House in the southwest corner of the square. The square also plays host to several art exhibitions and its famous annual Charity Ball but one word of caution - 50 Berkeley Square is the most infamous allegedly "haunted house" in London.
